In 1999, Chris Arzberger began work as an independent consultant to the Air Force’s Logistics
Support Office. Mr. Arzberger’s services were sought because of his exceptional knowledge
of military transportation systems and his uncanny ability to facilitate measurable improvements
in processes and behavior. Today, Mr. Arzberger is recognized as the foremost expert in measuring
performance of Air Force transportation systems; his metrics were key in the Air Force’s management
of logistics support during recent military conflicts in Bosnia,Yugoslavia, and Afghanistan.
Although primarily a logistician, Mr. Arzberger was instrumental in developing web-based management
tools. One such tool, “Logistics Tracker,” is a data-mining tool that provides in-transit visibility
to supply and transportation specialists at virtually every Air Force installation in the world; to
date the web site has satisfied nearly two million queries.
One result of such successes has been a steady flow of substantial projects. In January 2002,
Jeff Acred joined Chris Arzberger to undertake the development of budgeting and financial analysis
tools for managing “second destination transportation” of munitions, vehicles, and aircraft engines.
This event marked the formation of an extraordinary business entity.
Today, Chris Arzberger and Jeff Acred own and operate IB Logistics LLC, a small, veteran-owned
consulting firm specializing in comprehensive information technology solutions for logistics
management systems. The foundation of IB Logistics LLC is a powerful business model accompanied
by a dynamic team of seasoned professionals whose qualifications are second to none in their
respective areas of expertise.
